As part of SIGMA VIG’s commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, part of our objectives within the framework of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), on April 22, 2025, Earth Day, the company’s staff held an awareness-raising activity with students of the “Sami Frashëri” High School in Tirana. The activity focused on the critical topics of climate change and environmental protection.

During this meeting, SIGMA VIG representatives presented educational materials, accompanied by information brochures, with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging young people to engage in environmental issues.

In particular, the school students made presentations and creative activities prepared by themselves, making a valuable contribution to enriching the discussion and deepening awareness.

This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Tirana Red Cross, which contributed to the educational content and supported the interaction with young people, bringing added value to this initiative.

“This activity is part of our long-term commitment to build bridges of cooperation with the community and to educate the younger generations on the importance of environmental protection. As part of the Vienna Insurance Group, we consider ESG not only as an international standard, but as a daily responsibility towards society and future generations,” said Dorinela Ndrejaj, Director of Communication and Marketing at SIGMA VIG.

The school principal, Ms. Majlinda Ziu, thanked Tirana Red Cross, and the SIGMA company staff for their commitment and tenth-grade students of the “Sami Frashëri” school, for their work on this project. She emphasized that all of us should not wait for special days to become aware of caring for our planet but contribute in it every day.
