A Small Gesture, A Big Impact: Sigma VIG Supports National Plastic Cap Recycling Campaign
The long-standing initiative in Albania, now a tradition, relaunched in September 2023 under the inspiring slogan “A Gesture That Turns Into Hope.” The campaign’s mission is simple yet powerful: collect plastic bottle caps for recycling, and use the proceeds to purchase wheelchairs or prosthetics for individuals with amputated limbs. This year, the campaign reached a national scale, engaging a wide spectrum of Albanian society. It proved that even the smallest everyday actions—like saving a plastic cap—can lead to meaningful change when we unite for a greater cause.
Driven by a strong commitment to social responsibility, Sigma VIG proudly joined the initiative, recognizing the importance of supporting people with disabilities. The company’s motivated staff collected a significant amount of plastic caps, contributing not only to environmental protection by reducing plastic waste, but also to the purchase of mobility aids for those in need.
The campaign unfolded in three phases, each designed to raise awareness and encourage participation. Sigma VIG’s team embraced the initiative with enthusiasm, turning it into a new and valuable habit—caring for waste disposal, especially plastic, in a more conscious and impactful way.
