As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, Sigma VIG, aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) objectives, organized a climate awareness activity on April 22, 2025, Earth Day, with students from “Sami Frashëri” High School in Tirana. The initiative focused on critical topics related to climate change and environmental protection. During the event, Sigma VIG representatives presented educational materials and informative brochures, aiming to raise awareness and encourage youth engagement on environmental issues. Students actively participated by creating presentations and creative activities, contributing valuable insights and enriching the discussions.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Tirana Red Cross, which supported the educational content and facilitated interactive activities, adding significant value to the program.
“This activity is part of our long-term commitment to build bridges with the community and educate future generations about the importance of protecting the environment. As part of the Vienna Insurance Group, we view ESG not only as an international standard but as a daily responsibility towards society and the generations to come,” said Dorinela Ndrejaj, Director of Communications and Marketing at Sigma VIG.
The school principal, Majlinda Ziu, thanked the Tirana Red Cross, the Sigma VIG team, and especially the 10th-grade students for their engagement and contributions. She emphasized that environmental awareness should not be limited to Earth Day but practiced every day to care for our planet. This collaboration highlights Sigma VIG’s dedication to positively impacting the community and promoting sustainable values in line with ESG principles.
